Ballymaloe LitFest Is Back…

Darina Allen to celebrate the arts as the Ballymaloe International Poetry Prize proves to be a recipe for inspiration

The Ballymaloe Literary Festival of Food and Wine is back with a bang this year and I am so excited to be involed again this year!  Last year the LitFest brought over 8000 people onto the grounds of Ballymaloe House and Cookery School including authors, chefs, foragers, educators, wine experts, gardeners, publishers, TV presenters, bloggers and journalists from Ireland and all over the world. It is the only festival of its kind in Ireland and has created an important hub for food enthusiasts worldwide to meet and share ideas with each other. This fantastic event will take place this year from the 16th-18th May 2014.

There are so many exciting events and speakers this year, the programme is jam packed! I was delighted to be asked to speak a number of events this year at the festival:

Saturday at 14.30Food & Wine Blogging – No Publisher, No Editor – Is it good enough? In the Grainstore at Ballymaloe House.

Sunday at 11.30Food Styling & Photographs in Cookery Books.  In the Grainstore at Ballymaloe House.

Sunday at 15.00Food Photography Workshop with Donal Skehan. In Ballymaloe Cookery School.

If you are thinking about coming along, tickets are selling fast so if you are interested, book early to avoid disappoitment! Hopefully I'll see you there!
