Kitchen Hero: HomeCooked is back!

KitchenHero HomeCooked TV Shoot_14

Howdy folks, Happy Halloween! Tonight Kitchen Hero: HomeCooked starts back on RTÉ One at 7.00pm, and on the show I'll be visiting one of my favourite food festivals in Ireland, the Sheridan's Irish Food Fair.  We filmed the episode back in May and had a great day out despite the down pour of rain during the last recipe!

In each episode of the new series I'll be cooking up two easy to make HomeCooked dishes for the hungry Irish folk at festivals across Ireland.  I'll also be cooking up some fairly epic cakes and bakes back in my home kitchen.  In tonight's episode I make up a lemon meringue pie, filled with sweet and tangy lemon curd and piled high with light meringue!

For the next few episodes I'll be visiting Trim Castle, The Dublin Horse Show in the RDS, Hook Lighthouse, Dublin Zoo and the Waterford & Suir Valley Railway.  On the menu, there is lots of delicious recipes from my new book HomeCooked including Spicy Seafood Paella, Margarita Chicken, Caramelised Banana Pancakes, Mexican Fish Tacos, Orange Polenta Cake and one of my favourites a beautiful Banoffee Cake!

While the TV show is on all through November I will be traveling across Ireland again on the HomeCooked Tour, which you can find out more details about dates and venues over here.  I'll be cooking live on stage with lots of help from the audiences and it all kicks off this Friday night in Mullingar, then Sligo on Sunday and Galway on Monday!

I'm also very excited to tell you that this year's Kitchen Hero Christmas special will be coming to you from… (Drumroll please!)… FINLAND! Yes we will be heading to the official home of Santa Claus to hunt him down and cook him up some sweet treats!  We'll be heading there just after this series finishes and I'll keep you posted on our travels.  But for now, make sure to tune in to the new series of Kitchen Hero: Home Cooked on RTÉ One, Thursday nights! 🙂
