My Top Three Smoothie Recipes

January 29

I could go on and on about the health benefits of smoothies. Quick, easy and jam packed with vitamins, they are the ultimate healthy fast food! The best thing about smoothies is you can adapt them depending on what’s in season which means you can enjoy a healthy and nutritious breakfast all year long!

Method

  1. 1. Kale, Apple & Lime Smoothie
Green juices and smoothies are a great way to get that burst of vitamins you need in the morning and are typically the healthiest and most nutritious option when making a smoothie! My Kale, Apple and Lime Smoothie has enough zing from the lime to balance the kale power and is great for any early morning sleepy heads!

Place all of the ingredients in a smoothie maker or a jug and blend with a hand held blender until smooth. If it is a little thick, feel free to add in a little extra apple juice. Pour into a glass and enjoy.
  2. 2. Frozen Fruit Smoothie
My Frozen Fruit Smoothie is a great one for kids as it is packed full of vitamins and nutrients but looks super appealing because of it's vibrant pink colour!

Place all of the ingredients in a smoothie maker or a jug and blend with a hand held blender until smooth. The addition of frozen berries keeps the smoothie lovely and cool but you can always use fresh fruit in the summer and add a handful of ice cubes.
  3. 3. Nutty Mango & Banana Smoothie
Place all of the ingredients in a smoothie maker or a jug and blend with a hand held blender until smooth. If you prefer peanut butter, use that instead but I love the richness that comes from the almond butter.
