Pasta Donuts

April 28

First came cronuts and now it’s pasta donuts (ponuts?)! This food mashup isn’t as bizarre as it sounds as it’s essentially a delicious pasta bake, made into a fun donut shape. No icing or sprinkles in sight – just cheesy, crispy pasta goodness!

  • serves Serves 8
  • time 30 mins

Method

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas mark 5 and grease a baking tray generously with olive oil or cooking spray. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and Parmesan cheese. Add in the cooked spaghetti, marinara sauce, pancetta and basil. Season with salt and toss, using tongs, until completely incorporated.
  2. 2. Carefully arrange the coated pasta into donut shapes on the baking tray. Spray the top of the donuts before placing in the oven for 15 minutes or until firm
  3. 3. Remove and allow to cool slightly on the tray before transferring to a wire wrack to cool completely.
