Slow Cooker Butter Chicken with Potatoes

January 17

This butter chicken is truly one-pot and couldn’t be easier! Throw all the ingredients into the slow cooker, set to high and forget about it. It’s that simple! The results are juicy chicken and a rich, flavoursome curry that’s just as good as any restaurant. Tip: If you want more flavour, sautee your onions and spices together with some butter in a pan before you put them in the slow cooker.

  • time 3-4hrs

Method

  1. 1. Put the chicken along with all other ingredients for the chicken, into the slow cooker set to high, stir to mix everything together. Cover with the lid and cook on low for 4-6 hours until the chicken is tender.

Optional: For more flavour, sautee onions and spices with a little butter before you put in the slow cooker.
  2. 2. At this point you can shred the meat off the bones if you like, or leave on. Discard the cardamom pods. Serve in bowls with naan, mango chutney and fresh coriander.
