Traditionally in our house we always steamed sprouts, but I really like the flavour you get from pan frying them. You could also add a few rashers of smoked streaky bacon for even more flavour.

Method
1. Heat the oil and butter in a large frying pan over a medium high heat until the butter melts and begins to foam.
2. Add in the garlic and fry for 30 second before adding in the brussel sprouts and stir frying for 6-8 minutes until tender.
3. Add in the Parmesan, season with sea salt and ground black pepper and stir through until the cheese has melted
